Oh Happy Day!!! The long anticipated wait is over!! It's officially Launch Day! I am so pleased to announce to the world that today I am publishing the very first post for T.A.G.S!!! WoO HoO! Yay! Hallelujah!! I can keep on celebrating but... I should probably tell you what T.A.G.S is before I lose you?!
Let me take you back to the year 2009 - My fiance (now handsome hubby) and I were getting married and as most happily engaged couples do, we nervously jumped into wedding planning!? Nervous about all of the decisions we would need to make & agree on (orchids or daisies, filet mignon or ahi tuna, red velvet or chocolate ganache, and the list goes on and on - as do the headaches?!) We were beyond thrilled and so excited for OUR big day! It would be all ours, forever. So in order to make it as personal as possible, we tried our best to be as hands on as possible! With this, we decided to make our own invitations that coordinated with our wedding colors/beach theme without breaking the bank. When I say we made them, we literally made them from scratch - my husband designed them, we ordered paper, used a very cheap paper cutter &glue, bought a new printer (because I had a little "accident" with the other one for not listening) and spent days and days making our very own nautical /starfish themed wedding invitations! They didn't come out so amazing (looking back) but boy did we feel so proud! They were adorable and one of a kind! We enjoyed this so much that we then coordinated our program fans, starfish seat tags, favors and thank you cards!
This is how it all began. What I thought was just an infatuation with paper has turned into an obsession!! I am constantly "playing with paper"- making invitations, scrapbooking, cards etc. I love to coordinate all paper products to make it extra special for your special day! Save the dates which match the invitations to match the programs that match the seat cards to go with the table menus to match the favor tags that match the.... I think you get my vision right?!
Fast forwarding to today - I am ready and open for business! I've been mostly working by word of mouth through the friends & family circle but realized recently that I don't just want to be a little busy every few months, I want to be very busy doing what I LOVE all year round!! It was with this realization that my handsome hubby (he is my biggest fan -- even with all the invitation clutter) told me everyone should LOVE what they do and since I love it so much, turn the hobby into a business! I know, I fell off my chair laughing at him as well but... HERE I AM!!! Hey you never know right?!
Happy Launch Day T.A.G.S!! What began with a piece of paper and a stamp will reach so many hearts and mailboxes.
